Lorraine Ladish–Mamiverse

Lorraine Ladish—Mamiverse

 trece-posters

Lorraine and I go back more than 8 years. We met on MySpace, oh so many years ago, before Facebook had really gotten started, where we would blog and communicate with each other in various different ways. Those days were fun, I had over 10,000 friends on MySpace and was one of the last to make the leap to FB. When I finally did leave MySpace, one of the first friends I had on FB, was Lorraine, we were fast friends back in the day and have remained so for so many years.

Lorraine came into my universe just as I was getting started and formulating this idea of an internet business. I still had no real plan, just “una cosquilla” to create something to express my creativity, to share my insights and my poems, to start blogging. I love writing and blogging came naturally to me, and I had some peeps, like Lorraine who were regular readers who inspired me to keep going, to formulate my ideas, and to learn new technologies.

Lorraine also featured my story, El oso from “Sopa de pollo para la Alma Latina” on a TV spot that she did regularly, for which I was forever grateful. She gave fully of herself asking for nothing in return. She has been a great friend and I had the pleasure of meeting and rooming with her at LATISM13, what a treat, what an honor, what a pleasure.

Lorraine is the editor in chief at Mamiverse. She is also the blogger at?? And she also keeps busy with ?? She is awesome at connecting Latinas everywhere and has been a force in our community of Latina bloggers for many years. I am honored to have her as my friend.

MI amiga, eres muy amable y soy muy afortunada que estas en mi vida.

Alain Romero—SOL Professionals

Alain Romero—SOL Professionals

Alain is one of those very successful Latinos who gets it. He knows how to network, he knows how to bring people together, and he knows how to plan a successful event. I was impressed with him as the leader of SOL Professionals the first time he recruited me to speak for the group and I have enjoyed getting to know him better and working with him ever since.

SOL events are fun, educational, and have a charitable twist to them. Each one features a speaker, number of artists and a cause we are collecting for. They have hosted book signings, Christmas fund raisers, social meet and greets, and even a Valentine Masquerade event.

They provide an opportunity for Latinos to meet with each other in a social setting and to get to know each other. I will be forever thankful to Alain for reaching out to me and having me speak. It was one of the first events I did under Roots and Wings, the company I have founded and I was pleased it was so successful.

I am also pleased to have Alain as a friend, he is truly a fun conversationalist and a visionary thinker.

Gracias, mi amigo, por todo tu apoyo.

Ana Lydia Monaco—Latina Lifestyle Bloggers

AMAZING Latinas!!!

diezciocho-posters

I met Ana Lydia online through FB comments. I had just started blogging and I was doing some Lifestyle blogging, but not on clothes and make-up and beauty and health, but more on self-help and reflections, and journaling, and pampering your muse—and we connected.

She invited me to be a part of the group and she added me to the FB page and thus we became friends. I had not met her before, but she also attended the Mujer Adelante Conference and after that, she and I connected through the Count Me In Meet Up group online. I was trying to start something with the AMAZING Latinas in the área, and she already had this group going, and so we decided to have a phone conversation.

And, it was enlightening and very helpful to me. I had jsut moved to Long Beach adn was just getting started with networking and meeting Latinas in teh área and Ana was a wealth of inforamtion. I also found her motivated, inspiring, and ready to lead her organization to greatness.

She is the founder of Latina Lifestyle Bloggers and I have followed them since the beginning of time, well my time as a blogger. I am very impressed with her group and with what they have accomplished. Ana has a visión for professsionalizing blogging and bloggers and her advice is spot on. Her tips are invaluable and many people take them to heart. She is the ultimat profesional and has the wherewithall to share with others what she has learned about how to conduct yourself online.

She is now planning her 4th Lifestyle Conference in Los Angeles for March 2014. It has become a go to event for Lifestyle bloggers all over the country and many make the trek to Los Angeles for this very special event. I have not had the pleasure of attending yet, but it is on my Bucket List.

Ana Lydia, gracias, mi amiga por tu energía y visión, you have been an inspiration to me.

Ivan Lomelii—Latino Success Network

diciseis-postersWinning an iPad!!!

I only met Ivan once, at a mall in Los Angeles when I won an ipad from a promotion that he was doing. He is the founder of Latino Success Network and he was running a promotion. His promotion had to do with each of us getting a specific code and he would see who posted the most, and I won!!!

I was so excited, not by the iPad, I had ordered mine the day before I won, lol, but because it was proof from the Universe that what you need will arrive when you need it, and I needed this. I needed to see how that internet marketing worked, my experience with Ivan, was the proof that I needed.

So as I said, the universe will provide what we need when we need it, we just have to be open to the possibilities and be able to see what we are being given. In this instance, I was beginning to get a glimpse of how it is done.

Gracias, Ivan, eres muy amable.

Top Fifteen Divine “Caminantes”

“Caminante, no hay camino, se hace el camino al andar.” Machadocinco

Whenever we embark on a journey or an adventure to fulfill a dream, the universe conspires on our behalf to make things happen and to ensure that we are successful. We just have to put it out there and our DIVINE selves will find the people and the situations to help us along the way. The Universe will put in our path, just those individuals that we need in order advance to the next step or to the next level.

There are many who have been a part of my journey and many who have helped me along the way, and I thank each and everyone of you. If you have touched my heart and soul, you know it, mil gracias.

I want to do a special Shout OUT to “Quince Caminantes” who have made an imprint on my heart and soul, the ones the Universe aligned with my dreams and put in my path, the ones who are doing the work that resonates with me.

My 15 Divine “Caminantes”, who have been with me on this journey and came at just the right time to offer what I needed, when I needed it. In alphabetical order, because their entering into my life and helping me out was an organic and recursive process, not a linear straight line, I present them here.

Each one of these “Quince Caminantes” will be featured in their own blog post, where I share how we met, what they do, and the impact they have had on my life, my journey, my soul. So please explore their sites and get acquainted with what they do for the Latino Community!!!

AND, stay tuned for some fun and inspirational reading as I share my meet-up story with each and everyone of these wonderful people who have enriched my life and added to my journey. Mil gracias, mi amigos, I could not have done it without you by my side.

Celebrate International Latina Day of Gratitude!!!

Latina Gratitude Day

In Celebration of International Latina Day of Gratitude was a success! Thanks for participating!

As most of you know National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15th to October 15th. this year we decided to combine our wonderful message of Gratitude and our Latina culture and end Hispanic Heritage month with something Very special! We decided to create an International Latina Day of Gratitude on October 15th and it was a total success!

Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and who participated. We made it a day of being grateful for all the wonderful sunrises, sunsets, drinks, and fun times we have shared. Our collective voices were heard as we spread the Attitude of Gratitude to anyone who was willing to listen. In honor of this special day Zulmara Maria gave away a FREE copy of her poetry book – My Life is My Message which is available in her bookstore if you missed the free download.

We gathered together at a Google Hangout and had fun talking about what Gratitude means in our life. If you missed the hangout last night you can view the video below. We’re all still learning how to use it but I’m sure we’ll all be experts at it soon!

We’re all excited about having a Latina day of Gratitude and we have lots of fun and wonderful plans to continue to spread the word and make this an even bigger event next year!

Mil gracias to you all!

Go to Latina Gratitude and post why you are grateful!!!

FB Cover 3

There are so many ways to give thanks and I know many of you are very busy, and some do not like to write in a journal, and others just don’t have time to get on the computer. So have you ever considered an APP for your phone? And, when you are waiting for someone, taking a texting break at work or even just waiting for someone to call back, you can write a gratitude list?

Check out this APP, the Happy Tapper. It is .99 and has a great place for you write down what you are grateful for. Of course, you can also use the MEMOS on your phone or NOTES to achieve the same result. The most important thing is, to get in the habit of saying…thank you, thank you, thank you, for the little things that brighten your day and make the moments in your life special.

And if you do want to say, ” Gracias a Dios” in writing, download my FREE GRATITUDE JOURNAL HERE…and let the blessings be counted!!!

Embracing Gratitude

What are you Grateful for?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWhat are you Grateful for?

What do you Appreciate about your Life?

How have you been Blessed?

MY BIG Idea is to launch the International Latina Day of Gratitude on October 15, 2013 as an official clausura to Latino Heritage Month as an annual event.  I want to bring Latinas everywhere together to raise our collective voices of GRACIAS y BENDICIONES and to help us connect as a talented group of women who are changing the world, one gratitude, one thank you, one appreciation at a time.

It is often said, “Gratitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference.” I truly believe that gratitude is the key in changing our personal and professional lives, changing our relationship with Mother Earth, and claiming our legacy, whatever we choose it to be. I want to harness the power of Latinas to raise our collective consciousness in one voice for all we have to be thankful for, on one day, to remind of where we have been and where we are going.

My BIG idea is to help our community by starting with position of gratitude for all we have been blessed with, so we can move forward and become a force to be contended with. I want Latinas everyone to understand the power of GRATITUDE to transform lives, change relationships, and make a difference in what they are doing.

My Gratitude campaign is nested in the firm belief that the changes predicted by the Mayans for a more feminine world order with the rising of the 5th sun will be spearheaded and led by Latinas who are making a difference, starting their own difference, and leaving their mark in the world by marching to the beat of a different drummer.

We come from STRONG ancestral roots that allow us to soar among the eagle, especially when we recognize and appreciate all we have been gifted. I do believe that we can and should be grateful all the time, every day and that having one day, to come together in gratitude is a nice reminder of that.

For the first International Latina Day of Gratitude, I will be hosting a number of events and having many opportunities for Latinas to participate. Those interested in participating can join my FB group, Latina Gratitude, where they will find resources, quotes, and research on how and why gratitude works. On my website, zulmaramaria.com, Latinas can find a Gratitude Journal filled with quotes from AWESOME Latin@s who are entrepreneurial, forward thinkers who make gratitude work for them everyday. On October 15, 2013 I will be hosting a twitter chat #latinagratitude and a google hangout to discuss the importance of gratitude in our lives. And, last by not least, my beautifully illustrated, “My Life is My Message Poetry Book” will be available as a free download that day.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Mi sueno is that we, we as Latinas, raise our voices in collective gratitude and show the world, just how powerful we are and how positive energy, can make a BIG Difference!!!

So tell me, what are you grateful for, what do you appreciate about your life, how have you been blessed?
