Happy Birthday Give Away!!!

El Gueguense

Las picardías del Güegüense

Sunday, January 17, I celebrated my 56th birthday and on this day the Feast of San Sebastian begins in Diriamba, Nicaragua. During the feast, the satirical drama, The Güegüense or the Dance of the Macho Raton will be performed.

In honor of my birthday and this most important celebration, I am giving away 10 copies of the ebook The Shenanigans of the Güegüense or Las picardías del Güegüense a folk tale from Nicaragua based on the street theatre, El Guenguense o la Danza Del Macho Raton during the week of the Festivals.

This story has been recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity for it depicts the plight of the natives after the Spaniards arrived. It is very important that we keep the cultural folktales of our native countries alive and help our children and grandchildren to know and understand these traditional tales. When El Güegüense o la Danza del Macho Raton was selected for this honor by UNESCO, it was stated,

“Despite its popularity, El Güegüense is in danger of declining, and possibly disappearing, owing to several factors: the country’s severe economic crises, insufficient national and local support for performers… In addition, many of those who are very active in transmitting their knowledge to future generations are already between 60 and 70 years of age.”

Indeed, the Güegüense has been compared to Shakespeare’s Falstaff from Henry IV and plays an important part in the history of Latinos everywhere, as it depicts the literary talents of the natives who lived here and their ability to use many different literary styles to depict a historical clash of two cultures that eventually learned to peacefully coexist. Certainly, there are many lessons to be learned from this tale and the beauty of preserving the art of our ancestors is one that all of us should be committing to.

If you would like to be in a drawing for this most beautiful work of art, please send me a PM and let me know if you are interested in the English or the Spanish version of the tale, both of which are available on Amazon as ebooks.

Your Greatest Joy!!!

Living Your Manifestations

October 2, 2014

Living your manifestations is one of your greatest joys. As a matter of fact, when all is revealed to you, you will find that you were living your manifestations all along and it was just a matter of time before you became aware of it and started living the life of your dreams. You see, all you are currently living is what you have manifested and all you will live is what you have manifested, so living your manifestations is a constant.

Now conscious creation is what comes when we become aware of the power of our minds, hearts, and souls to create the life of our dreams. Once we have that awareness, then we become conscious of how we can consciously create the life we want to live and we begin living, loving, and enjoying our manifestations.

Let go of the past, let go of the future, let go of the hows…and just be in silent gratefulness for the blessings and the rest will just fall into place for you. Stop fretting the small stuff, stop sweating when and where it will happen and just trust that this is your year, your day, your time and the time will appear, just as it should…just as it is destined…just as it is ordained.

Understanding the Relationship Between Beliefs and Manifestations

Your Beliefs are Your Manifestations

October 12

It is important when manifesting your millions or you abundance to understand the relationship between your beliefs and your manifestations. Everything in existence, no matter what it is, has its genesis in thought. First you had to think it in order for it to manifest or to materialize in your life. Life does not just “happen” it happens according to your plan, your thoughts, your way of knowing and being, and seeing and thinking in the world. What you think is what you manifest, it really is that simple. As Mike Dooley, Mr. Universe, has said often, “Thoughts become things.” What you think is what you bring forth in your life, at is most fundamental level.

If you think you deserve wealth, abundance, and an easy life, you will manifest wealth, abundance, and an easy life. If you think you will be wealthy after a lot of hard work, then you will be wealthy after a lot of hard work. If you think that wealth is for others, but not for you, then wealth will not be coming to you. If you believe that wealth is OK, but health is better, than you will have health and not wealth. If you say you want “just enough” to get by, you will manifest “just enough” to get by. It is a very simple formula. Once you see what you are manifesting, ferret out the belief that is behind it and you will see that what you believe you think, what you think you manifest…at its most basic level.

Once you have identified your beliefs, if you are not satisfied with your results, then change your beliefs…with meditations, visualizations, mantras, affirmations, afformations…the list goes on about how to change beliefs…and sometimes, you can set off to change beliefs even if you do not know what they are…just affirm what you want and watch the magic happen. (Unless of course you do not believe in magic, because then…yeah you got, you will only get miracles.)

Receiving with Grace and Gratitude

Learning How to Ask and Receive

Manifesting abundance is not only about asking, it is also about receiving. We have to learn how to receive with grace, with gratitude, with enthusiasm, and with liveliness. We have to know and feel that we are deserving of the gifts being bestowed upon us. We have to know in our heart of hearts that we merit the abundance coming to us and that it is being given to us for us to do our life’s work and to fulfill our purpose.

If we are apologetic, if we feel we are not deserving of such riches, or we do not feel worthy of the gifts we are receiving, we are setting up blocks and limitations to the abundance that is ours flowing to us. It really is that simple, in order to receive you have to be open to receiving. Many people are apologetic about their riches or their wealth. If they have more than others in their circles, they feel bad or guilty or non-deserving and have a hard time keeping the abundance flowing. They will put a stop to that which is giving them abundance—in order to not feel bad or make others feel bad.

There are some people who will not accept their abundance because they do not want others to feel bad or to think poorly of them. There are individuals who will let go of abundance because they don’t want to be thought of as one of the greedy rich. They have not learned how to receive.

Think about how well you receive gifts…are you enthusiastic or apologetic? Are you accepting or negating? Are you thankful or embarrassed? As you reflect on these moods, please be aware of feelings that guide your thoughts, beliefs and behaviors and if you need to make a few changes.

Living with Purpose

A Purpose Driven Life

Living in abundance means many things to many different people. I came across this story the other day and it made me pause…because the message is clear, but I felt there was something missing. At first, I was having trouble identifying the missing piece, and then it dawned on me, the missing piece was PUIMG_7931RPOSE.

You see the fisherman was living life as an existence, but with no real purpose, no real legacy, no real passion…except for fishing, but in the end, where was he soul going? What was his spirit yearning? What was his headstrong?

As you reflect on 2015 and where you are going, think about living a purpose driven life and what that means to you. What makes your heart sing, your soul soar, your spirit dance? That is your purpose, that is why you are here. That is your calling to this time and place…in this particular mode of knowing and being. Go ahead and enjoy…it is what life is all about…living your purpose with wild abandon and passion.

A Little Story
The businessman was at the pier of a small coastal village when a small  boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large Yellowfin Tuna. The businessman complimented the fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The fisherman replied only a little while.

The businessman then asked why he didn’t stay out longer and catch more fish.
The fisherman said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs. The
businessman then asked, but what do you do with the rest of your time? The
fisherman fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a
siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine
and play guitar with my amigos; I have a full and busy life, señor.”

The businessman scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and I could help you. You should
spend more time fishing and with the proceeds buy a bigger boat. With the
proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats; eventually you would
have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman, you
would sell directly to the processor and eventually open your own cannery. You
would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave
this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually
New York City where you would run your expanding enterprise.”

The fisherman asked, “But señor, how long will this all take?” To which
the businessman replied, “15-20 years.” “But what then, señor?” The
businessman laughed and said, “That’s the best part! When the time is right you
would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become
very rich. You would make millions.” “Millions, señor? Then what?” The
businessman said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village
where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a siesta with
your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play
your guitar with your amigos.”

The fisherman, still smiling, looked up and said, “Isn’t that what I’m doing right
